So here we are, our first time out in public - both for choir and conductor. Starting off with three partner songs that we use to warm up, then a setting of a traditional desert gathering song sung as a round. In the midldle is California Dreamin from 1967, then a song written by Penzance Community Choir called Simply There. Lastly is a Congolese Folk Song, Banaha whose words translate into: In the shade of the pineapple tree, Yaku ladles a banana into his aunts red hat. We all had fun, and it seemed that the audience enjoyed it too!
