So here we are, the first day of another year lies before us. The great thing about this life is that we have no idea what this year holds. I know to most of us, the unknown is scary, something to be avoided, but just think how boring life would be if we knew beforehand what was going to happen. We would anxiously wait for that good or bad thing to come to pass and completely waste the days leading up to it. Our worrying or longing would not change the outcome no matter what we did. I believe with all my heart that the key for all of us is to know the One who holds the future in the palm of His hands, the One who is not bound by time or space, as a matter of fact, there is coming a day when He will do away with time completely, a concept our finite minds cannot grasp. Of course I am speaking of the Lord Jesus who is the Creator and sustainer of everything we see and understand and also of things we cannot see or understand. As our Creator and Lord, He has asked us not to worry about tomorrow but to live in today. Tomorrow, for some of us (myself included) may not come, so why worry about it? Let us be satisfied with today and live our lives so that we can please Him in everything, and let Him handle the future, He is equipped to do so, and we are not.
