So heres how my week has been so far. I went down Tuesday arvo to test a new lure idea I came up with. Second cast I caught a small fish and from then on I was pretty pumped, fished for a bit longer and nearly went home but decided to try one last spot. Got there and I ended up pulling out a really big fish considering the average size of the bass lately. She would have been probably 37-38cm FL and put up a great fight, it really got the heart racing again, rather tight county and not having caught a solid fish in a while added to the excitement. So I now know my prototype lure works. Im thinking of getting them to a perfected state over the next few weeks and after that sending out a few testers (if they are successful) and eventually selling these lures. They look very natural in the water and you can retrieve them heaps of different ways. This arvo I went out with Matt and first cast I landed a nice bass within one twitch of the lure (stoked). Off to the next snag we went and Matt pulled out a nice quality bass which really wanted his Dahlberg Diver fly. We both proceeded to catch bass throughout the afternoon, I got 5 fish and I think Matt got 3 or 4. The best fish of the session went 34cm and was caught on my prototype lure.
