So his Dr believes that it is most likely the effects of a seizure most likely in his sleep. It has happened before. So the Drs will contact his OT so that we can help him relearn the things that have been lost. As long as it doesnt take his two words ! They dont know why this is happening and Birdie is due to see his neuro in January so maybe they will have an idea of what can be done to help this problem. So for now we just try to teach him again , it should be months before this happens again so thats something. Thanks everyone for all of the lovely messages and posts. You are all very kind. Next time it happens he might lose the same skill again or something different , he could lose lots or very little . There is now way of knowing as we dont know why its happening other than seizure related and he is on the top dose of his anti-convulsant. But we arent going to focus on it, he is in good form and thats the main thing. xxx
