So if Orion is looking overly relaxed, dont be fooled. He practically passed out after raising Holy Hell at work today. With a very puffed up tail, he ran through the shop knocking over everything that got into his way. He acted more like a 3 year old child....but then again, he is still a kitten. After a while in time-out, he fell asleep and let everyone think he was sweet and innocent. You have to check out the Madagascar Ammonites that I just unpacked. Ammonites, of course, are a Fossil Squid-like Sea Creature that lived in a coiled shell. They go back as far as 240 million years ago and became extinct, with the Dinosaurs, about 65 million years ago. They were mean little suckers, with sharp, beaklike jaws inside a ring of tentacles, that they could use to snare prey such as small fish. The ones in the picture are about the size of a quarter and are only $3.50. Why so cheap??? Ammonites are one of the most abundant fossils, with over 10,000 varieties found all over the world, and, as always, we shopped to get the best at the best price. Some of the ones out of Madagascar are particularly colorful due to the light bouncing off layers of Aragonite and Conchiolin in the shell. If you get a chance, come on in and check them out.
