So.... is the basic plan to close any museum based in the north? National Rail Museum (York), Museum of Science and Industry (Manchester), National Museum of Film and Photography (Bradford) all under threat with one to go. This is a situation that calls for individual petitions and protests in each case. It needs a co-ordinated campaign across the three cities. The north will be culturally poorer for the loss of any of these institutions.... I vote we close Buckingham Palace instead!
