So lets go back to the basics. WASHING YOUR HAIR. It is very important to keep hair clean so your pores have breathing room. Sulfate free shampoos are the best, for example Mizani but it is a bit pricy here in Zim but you can add olive oil or a to your shampoo to prevent drying out your hair. Now how to wash at home; (If you get a Salon wash make sure you know what products are being used on your hair) Step 1 Make sure all your strands are de-tangled before you lather up Step 2 with the tips of your fingers (never nails) gently massage shampoo into hair and scalp. Wash and rinse with luke-warm water until its all clean. Step 3 Pat dry your hair never ever rub that towel on your head. to soak up all the water wrap up hair with a tshirt and let your hair air dry a little. Step 4 Conditioning. When hair is semi-dry apply your conditioner of choice to the length of your hair. Avoid contact with your scalp because conditioner does not wash off so easily and it becomes flaky like dandruff. Leave it on for about 20-30 mins not over night because over-conditioning will reduce elasticity of your hair and causes breakage. Step 5 Wash your hair with luke-warm water and give it a splash of cold water to seal in the nutrients from your conditioner. Repeat step 3. When you have completed these steps and want to use heat make sure you apply a heat protector on to your hair to avoid damage. Moisturise your hair with a product of your choice. Make sure you use oils on your scalp because petroleum based hair foods clog your pores and prevent hair growth. Find out how i L.O.C my hair in a post coming soon......Love
