So... life is progressing at the Ronald McDonald House for this family. We are learning that add long as Evan had his pain medicine he is pretty much unstoppable. If it wears off before his next dose he is a bear! He wakes up screaming in pain like clockwork every 6 hours during his sleep and we hurry to give him his medicine and then try to console him for the next 30 minutes until the medication kicks in. We are going to ask Mamaw to bring some Tylenol up and see if that works for him at all. He is waking pretty well considering, Ive been calling him old manbecause he shuffles his feet like a grandpa but at least this grandpa is still getting around:) The things weve struggled with most have been pain control, feeding intolerance, and medication side effects, specifically terrible diarrhea:( Weve stayed low trying to shelter him and reduce his chances of exposure to any germs especially since wer are still unsure whether his white blood cell count is stable our still doing. It was only 3 on Friday and they are going to recheck on Monday. We have enjoyed our weekend with our beautiful daughter and cant believe just how perfect she really is for her brother. She has so much love for her baby brother and it is the most beautiful thing to witness. My mom spent all day running around yesterday for us trying to gather up our much needed supplies and for that We are so thankful. We are such a blessed family and cannot thank God enough. We pray God blesses each of you as he has so graciously blessed us.
