So long Mr Cameron and thanks for all the fudge Scotland cannot and will not be able to increase wealth in Scotland and therefore lift the most poor and the needy out of poverty under the new proposals. Nor will it prevent the outmigration of the young and bright seeking to improve their lot elsewhere. To increase income tax would be political suicide for any party and no doubt those who were to be affected would move south of the border. In reducing income tax our social services will be strangled. So Smith along with Westminster have cleverly but Scotland in a bind of becoming a zombie economy with little hope of improved growth, improved life chances and improved powers that would unleash Scotlands potential. The battle for independence must continue Chris Law
