So many people still ask what happened(I gues a wiki link is a boring read). Well, in a nutshell, I had a very simple routine meniscus operation (15 minutes of easy work for a moderately experienced doctor). Unfortunately the doctor somehow cut into the major leg arthery, didt realise it and closed up the wound. The arthery kept bleeding into my leg for another 6 hours which caused the death of my nerves. The muscles were next and if they would have been affected they would have taken my leg. Fortunatelly I made it into a bigger hospital just in time. After they fixed the arthery they had to cut two deep incisions into my calf to let the swelling out and take out all the blood chunks. This was done while I was awake. The pain of the last two weeks is beyond description, the most painful moments were worst then anything I have ever experienced(including childbirth). Still it would be unjust to complain, I have my leg, good care, and now its just a matter of time. Most importantly I have the love of my family and of a very big community with a very big heart.
