So me and probably many other parents were excited to hear that school would be in session today! So grateful for the men and women that have been working around the clock to restore power to our community! But something that came to my attention after reading a few post, parents are having to get their kids ready for school in the dark. I know school is important! Education is power! But me, personally, feel that homes should have been priority over the schools. Some kids are going to go to school today and go back home to a dark, cold house, with an empty fridge. For me, the schools could have waited.
