So my son, Jason, (turned 21 this year) left this evening with his friend, who drove them to his friends house. They had planned to stay there overnight. After a few wine coolers they were feeling pretty good when the friends sister called. The two siblings got into an argument over the phone while Jason was sitting there listening to it. It kinda ruined the night for them. So Jason wanted to come home. Heres where our parental training kicked in. Rather than asking his friend, who had been drinking, to drive him home, he called us. I was more than glad to drive out and pick him up. On the way, he apologized for bugging us. I told him no apology was necessary. He did the right thing. And his safety, along with others on the road, is my primary concern. Call a parent or friend. Dont ever get into a car with a drunk driver and NEVER drink and drive!
