So now that you know how to use a few of the oils, why they work, - TopicsExpress

So now that you know how to use a few of the oils, why they work, and what to use them for, how do you know what to use for which problems? There are several really great resources to start with. First is the Modern Essentials book, which available from Aromatools, My Oil Business, and a few other sites. It has information about the chemistry and history of essential oils, a profile of each of doTERRAs oils and blends, and an alphabetical reference of which oils to use for which health concerns. The recommendations in the book are based on the way essential oils work with our physiology, and many studies are referenced. Another great place to look is everythingessential.me, which is a compilation of anecdotes organized by health concern. Often these recommendations are different than those in the Modern Essentials book, because our body chemistries are all different and sometimes different oils work for different people. There’s a testimonials tab as well. I love reading about what has worked for others. Several oils are usually recommended for each ailment, and I tend to start with what I have the most of, or what seems most similar to my situation (if based on an anecdote), or which one seems to make the most sense to me... and then if it doesnt work, I move on to another idea or add something to it
