So... our Home Town in Hawaii is a small town called Pahoa in the Puna District nestled quaintly onto the side of the Kilauea (the worlds largest active volcano). There is currently 1500 gallons a second of lava heading straight for town and within a week or two it is predicted to take out the post office and scores of houses along the way. Shortly there after it will take out the only road remaining to our district (all the others have been covered by lava over the last 30 years!) and cutting Puna off from the rest of the island and the rest of the world. They are frantically bulldozing ancient mango trees and rainforest along the coast on what used to be our favorite 1 lane dirt road in the world =( in hopes of opening up another path... but if the lava flow keeps its trajectory... this will also be taken out by Pele (the volcano goddess) before too long. Send prayers and positive manifestations to those in Puna and respect and offerings to Pele.
