So, our elected officials have done it again. All said I am a Republican, but that has nothing to do with the disappointment that I have in them. I took an oath years ago in the ARMY to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Even though I am a Veteran now, I still hold that oath close to my heart. Our Government officials have had more than enough time to work out their differences. Affordable health care, yes we need something but “Obama Care” is not the answer. Now because they cannot figure out how to work together they will just shut down our government. Sure they will be collecting a pay check, possible even slipping in a raise for themselves along the way. In the meantime, furloughs will take place, security will be threatened, and eventually it will trickle down to affect every one of us. Sure, we could call, email, tweet, or Facebook our Senators and representatives. Then we would just get an auto response back, possibly even an 8x10 glossy photo. I really feel like as a nation we should all stop paying our taxes. Clearly this is a case of taxation without representation. I feel a tea party coming on. We should all go and change our W4’s and pay them nothing! That would clearly send a message to Washington. Better yet as a nation, come April 15 don’t file squat. If they can’t figure out how to cap our debt, fund our schools, and do their elected jobs then we need to not pay our taxes and help them by taking their prized tax revenue away. Then come election day vote them all out office. Every last one of them! I just know that our forefathers have to be rolling in their graves totally appalled at what our House and Senate are doing right now. For a moment I truly wish they would take a step back away from the politics and look at the Look at the Constitution, then Look at Monuments & Memorials for those who fought to preserve our way of life. They are there to serve us not themselves and the sooner they realize that the better.
