So sad. William Moores doctors strongly disapproved of our decision to trach William. Traching William was the best decision we have ever made for him. He has lived a happy, fulfilling life because of it. Fortunately, we live in America where we can choose what is best for our son, even when doctors try to tell us his life isnt worth living. We know him best, and sadly we know his disease better than most doctors who try to make decisions for him. I fear a day when this might change, when doctors (who dont know my son or his disease) get to decide his life isnt worth living anymore.
