So this whole psychic thing. Whats the deal? First off, I believe in pretty much everything. This includes skepticism. I believe in the probability and inprobability of an event simultaneously in that it would be incorrect to assume a thing as being impossible until such time as empirical evidence has been presented that said event cannot and will not ever happen. The odds that anything will never happen is in itself statistically impossible since time has yet to end and therefore it is not unreasonable to assume that all things are possible, if not highly improbable outside the constraints of history. In short, I believe that something wont happen in my lifetime but not that it will never be a factor. Anyway. Psychic stuff. About four months ago, Ulva and I had paid a visit to a friend of mine - one Pat Oberlein - whose profession is that of a medium/reader. We only had minimal contact with each other and the majority of our conversations had very little to do with my personal life or Ulvas. During the reading, a few things had come up, the most troubling being an event that would prove detrimental to Ulvas health. This might seem like a broad statement when one takes into consideration her existing condition, but I digress. The fact remains that shortly after, within a week or so, she had suffered a traumatic event which threw everything into chaos and led to her moving back to Niagara for health reasons. So already, thats one. Another issue that had been brought up was that of opportunity coming from overseas and needing the help of two people in order to bring said opportunity to a satisfactory conclusion in -direct relation to my writing-. It was also said that it would come from, quite specifically, Britain. I wont get into specific details about that, but so far thats two in her favour. Thus far, with the exception of something Im not going to get into for fear of someone having a heart attack, shes been on point. It could be argued that all of these events fall within the realm of coincidence, but anyone who believes in cause and effect would realize that coincidence is a term far more superstitious than any superstitious institution. Coincidence suggests that things simply happen out of nowhere and is in direct conflict with anything we know of scientific method. Just saying.
