So today I was in the supermarket and I overheard a little girl asking her mum if she could have a chocolate bar. The mother replied with if you want to be beautiful when youre grown then you cant eat chocolate because youll get fat and no-one will want you. You do want to get married one day dont you? To which the little girl replied with yes mummy, sorry. I found this genuinely disgusting! What kind of mother teaches her child that in order to be beautiful and find love, she has to be slim?! I am a size 16.I have tattoos and piercings, rolls, stretchmarks and cellulite galore but Im also beautiful! I will quite happily have the odd takeaway in front of the telly and when Im feeling sad, chocolate is always the cure for me. I am in no way obese but I am classed as overweight. Everyday my daughter tells me Im the most beautiful woman in the world and as both of my daughters grow I will teach them that beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes. I refuse to let Society dictate to them that in order to be beautiful, they have to be toned, tanned and bleach blonde. You should love your bodies regardless of your shape, size or colour! The most beautiful outfit a woman owns is her body! Each and every one of you is beautiful, dont let society and the media brainwash you into thinking otherwise
