So, untrue to my word, we succumbed to an owners update, the lure of free valet parking and $100.00 food certificate pushed my wife over the top! ;) We met with Dennis, who apparently is the sales manager here. Was a good time. He spent most of the time explaining BlueGreen vs BFC ..... I now have an understanding of what, (and is), happening, not sure I can explain it any better some of the sales force. But suffice it to say BFA USED to own 49% of BlueGreen, then now own 56% and control the directions the club is moving. I want to share this, and hopefully it does not throw the group into a tizzy. The old BlueGreen is about out of inventory. Matter of fact he showed me the daily inventory for yesterday ... only 2% of the original club is available for sale. He then showed me the inventory brought in by BFC, properties such as Aspen and Chibola Vista. Lots of properties to sell. Soon BFC will be all there is left to sell, it affects NOTHING unless as a present old member you are looking to upgrade points, do it now, the savings in MFs alone would make it worthwhile. I have seen many complaints of increased points required for the new resorts, and Dennis mentioned the economy, in general, has higher costs. The new points reflect this. He also stated BFC will be making other purchases and will, for example, be building 4 new buildings at Big Bear, in California, to increase availability there.
