So, watching a syndicated national news broadcast. Timed the commercials, and subtracted from the run time, recieved about 20 minutes of content. During the same 30 minute period, I was able to read a section of 18 different news stories, from 4 different sources. I was able to find background information for 3 that were of particular interest. None of the stories were "fluff" pieces, as over 2/3rds of the stories presented in the broadcast form. The internet is great.
