So, whats so new about what Chishimba Kambwili and those of his ilk have done at ZNBC is new this time? Does it mean that the Church and their mother bodies, ZNBC itself and other public media institutions, Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), ZANIS, NGOs, Law Association of Zambia, State House and all, save for Misa Zambia perhaps, you all dont know that after these same Public Media are the more protected and specially treated with express special recognition as more Journalists than all those that are independent? For how long now have those independent Journalists especially freelancers and those reporting for outside media been sidelined and treated as not entitled especially to state information, activities, events and assignment? Why havent there been even little significant noise and concern like MISA and SACCORD consistently do? Come on Zambians let there be fair recognition and regard of professionals. There is nothing super special about ZNBC than Radio Phoenix, that Freelance Journalist out here or Journalists at the Times of Zambia that have gone several months without pay making them go on surviving at the mercy of well wishers. What rationale are those three or so Ministers using to condemn Chishimba Kambwili and Sylvia T. Masebo who at least have come out to show their other real side? You rise in solidarity of this while you bother less or not about the dire situation ToZ wallows in and you think can buy it? Nah nah nah Zambians for once stop being hypocritical. State House had for the first time in Zambias history, and not even in the UNIP regime you loudly call dictatorial, been closed out to all essential, analytical, fearless, ethical Journalists except to a few managed fellas and none has stood up to challenge the status quo. ZANIS has for three years now been an agent of discrimination against Journalists and none has ever wondered why and hence condemn such. Get it plainly here, before creating that deadly virus targeting certain people you dislike and hate with a passion be wary that some day you may require an antidote to cure tour household from it.
