Soap box notice... even if I am having the worst day, I try to put on a smile & acknowledge who is in front of me. As a customer comes near, I try to always say something like: how has your day been, are you doing alright, have a nice day, try to stay dry, hope the burgers are good, etc. Something to show that I was in the moment with that person. As well as, not being rude, but I speak to the customer in front of me, & wait on the customer in line to move up to acknowledge them. I went into not 1, but 2 stores in my home town where I was barely acknowledge, NO interactive comments made on the employees behalf. One took my money & didnt speak even though we were the ONLY customers in the store. In the second store, he was too busy talking to a customer two back about having the munchies. Come on people, use your manors! Rant over, continue on.... :-)
