Social Work Professional Council of Cambodia SWPCC Job Opportunity Position Title Secretariat Job Category : Full-time Reports to : SWPCC Board of Directors Supervisor : SWPCC President or assigned BoD officer Contract term : One Year Contract (with possible extension) Location : Phnom Penh Description Social Work Professional Council of Cambodia SWPCC is the first social work professional association and network in Cambodia. The main goal of the SWPCC is to see social work become a profession in Cambodia with a high code of conduct, a strong support network, and a commitment to excellence in practice. The SWPCC is seeking a qualified Cambodian National for position of Secretariat who will manage the day-to-day activities of the SWPCC. This position will be based in Phnom Penh. Main Duties and Responsibilities: The Secretariat will work under the supervision of the SWPCCs Board of Directors to perform the following tasks: • Manage and run day-to-day operation of the SWPCC; • Organize BoD meetings, General Assembly; Conference and other events • Take notes of all meetings, keep minutes, and act as the custodian of all the records of SWPCC; • Lead the implementation of BoD decisions; • Propose to the BoD necessary staff and manage the recruitment and supervision of staff to serve the council; • Develop clear job descriptions and contracts for other SWPCC staff in consultation and approval of the BoD; • Carry out performance appraisal of other SWPCC staff; • Be responsible to maintain the membership database and supervise financial transactions of SWPCC; • Report regularly to BoD of the SWPCCs progress and the achievement made related BoD decisions; and, • Perform all other duties inherent to his/her position. Minimum Qualifications: • The Secretariat shall be a professional social worker with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work; • At least 2 years paid work experience as a social worker; • Self-motivated with demonstrated strong organizational skills; • Ability to work with a dynamic team as well as function independently with limited supervision; • Experience in organizing and facilitating meetings, trainings, workshops and other events; • Strong oral and written communication skills in Khmer and English; • Commitment to continued professional development; • Adheres to the social work code of ethics; • Knowledge of planning tools; • Supervision experience a plus; • Computer proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, electronic mail and internet.
