Social sciences (if any still exist as science) are fast becoming - TopicsExpress

Social sciences (if any still exist as science) are fast becoming little more than the practice of selling snake oil infused magazine editorials comprised of correlative findings and numbered DIY therapy check lists presented as fact to an increasingly ignorant and welcoming public. Science is not about fact finding- that is the domain of the seedier occupations, primarily, law and journalism,- science is about truth seeking. Truth seeking is an altogether different activity. Facts are finite and definitive; however, the truth is infinite, nebulous and imprecise. The former is a collection of seemingly indisputable, absurdly objective variables glued together into the likeness of rational definitude while the latter remains a fleeting specter glimpsed from the periphery and vanished into the mists of reality before we have the chance to grasp beyond the outline of the shadow of the form but its is nonetheless the truth. If I had it all to do again, I would be a physicist or a philosopher.
