Somalis in Kenya | “I am calling Kenyan government to seize criminals and stop human violation actions. Djibouti president, Isma’il Omar Gelleh, called Kenya government on Wednesday to stop harassing Somali people for the sake of security crackdown after Kenya indiscriminately started at the beginning of April this year to target Somalis in Nairobi and elsewhere in the county. “Kenyan government has its right to protect citizens from terrorists, but its way of dealing with Somalis is unacceptable. The security forces detain Somalis indiscriminately, let them have refugee identity card, let them be Kenya origins or Somalis from Somali territory. There must be limit of targeting. This can be a fight against especial people”, Isma’il Omar Gelleh said.
