Some first class bedwetting going on from a few Saints fans who really should know better. GET A GRIP! I am about as sad to see Pochettino leave as Spurs fans are happy to see him arrive. Pochettino was a good manager with an exciting style of play, but he was playing with a team already laid in place by Adkins & Cortese: Clyne, Chambers, Fonte, Ward-Prowse, Cork, Schneiderlin, Rodriguez, Lambert, Davis, Gallagher, and he was blessed with two of Englands most exciting young players in Shaw & Lallana coming through at EXACTLY the right time. Dont forget Pochettino spent £25m on Wanyama and Osvaldo who were blatantly not an upgrade on the midfield / attack he already had. Ill give him Lovren though, great signing. In my opinion he has made a very poor decision in joining Tottenham. No manager in their right mind would go and work for Levy, the man is deluded! Top 4? No chance. Chelsea & Man City will be top drawer next season, United have a great manager and huge transfer kitty and whilst I do no expect them to challenge they will up there, and you can bet Liverpool & Arsenal will strengthen already strong teams. Which two of those will Tottenham finish above? Not going to happen, and if Everton have a good summer I think Tottenham could easily be beaten back into 7th place. Then we will see the strength of Pochettinos five year deal. I would love to see Murat Yakin come in. Under him Basle played some great football and won a couple of league titles, and how many managers out fox Jose Mourinho home and away in the Champions League? Other than that I think Thomas Tuchel would be an exciting, forward thinking appointment. Koeman was a great player but has an average management record and Laudrup is a complete nightmare by all accounts. Moyes, McClaren, Mackay, Hughton etc would be a disaster and if the board want an English manager I would have Tim Sherwood at the drop of a hat. Lastly, seeing people criticise the Liebherrs is beyond me; both stupid and disrespectful. Remember whose money put us back on the map? No board in the world can keep a manager / player who wants to leave, and it is clear Pochettino played us all for mugs by stalling on a deal that the board tried to sort out months ago. If Shaw and Lallana want to leave then fine, let them go. Toure wants to leave City, Costa wants to leave Atletico and thats football - players come and go. The board must now appoint the right man to take us forward, reinvest any transfer money and trust our Academy to keep on producing.
