Some much needed prayers! My Sam had an appointment for a recheck - TopicsExpress

Some much needed prayers! My Sam had an appointment for a recheck of a previous cancerous sarcoma that was removed from his shoulder, Xrays and ultrasound showed no reoccurence where the sarcoma was removed. Lung Xrays were clear. LNodes all good. But a couple months ago he got into some food that caused him to have a pancreatitis attack which during an ultrasound a mass was seen on his liver which basically was so to speak luck I guess. At that time, it was 1.75 cm and today, it is 2.75 cm. So it has grown 1 cm in circumference. Next week he goes in for a full ultrasound of belly and then possibly a needle biopsy of this mass if the radiologist can get to it and nothing else is seen. We are trying to determine if this is the same sarcoma as the one removed from his shoulder and if it is, then we can make a better decision on what we should do. More than likely nothing as it basically means there is possibly more somewhere else and why go through a surgery like that. My internal specialist doesnt think it is related to the mass on his shoulder but obviously cannot guarantee that without knowing what this is. My guy has been through many surgeries from broken leg, knee surgery, rock removal because he ate one, lung tumor removal, shoulder tumor removal besides having MRIs, CT scans, etc for his seizures and chronic rhinitis. This liver one scares me. I am really trying to keep positive and keep plugging away as Sam is still my happy boy and keeps on keeping on. Feeling sad! He is such a warrior! Oh and this is him with his new duds on to show off to the lady nurses!
