Some of the things I love most about New York City (today); 1) A woman riding on the bus this morning decides she is going to sit on the aisle seat of a two seat set...When the bus gets full and an older woman boards the bus, and, this seated woman refuses to move or acknowledge the standing elderly woman...a real sized woman (also standing) taps the seated woman on the shoulder and says to her, Do you want to move over so this lady can sit, or do want me to sit there!? 2) I arrive at my clients office this morning greeted (for the second time this week) by their receptionist, (older woman with a salty demeanor and no-nonsense delivery)... Me: Morning Mary. How are you today? Mary: Morning. So you came back....What!? You didnt have enough of us the other day? Me: I came back, cause I missed you. Mary: Yeah. Yeah. Dont shit me kid. Its too early for me to start shoveling. Come on let me walk you over to your training room. This place is like Get Smart...Its a maze to get around here...Youre too young to remember Get Smart. Me: No. Actually I do remember that show. Mary: Really!? How old are you? Me: I will be 54 in December. Mary: Get out! You people dont age. Both of us: (a quiet chuckle)...and then as I get to the training room with her. Mary: And by you people, I mean Black people...not the Gay. Although I see some great looking older guys coming and going in this place...But Im sure its just smoke and mirrors, or bronzers and the gym. Im still laughing and I almost peed myself.
