Some people just love to argue. No matter what, even when they are wrong, they still go on and on making foolish talk refusing to listen to reason and the truth.... Did you know that when someone does this with the word of God we are NOT to continue trying to teach them or show them their error? Read Romans 16:17-18 There are some who will seek to cause division and offenses in the Lords church. The apostle has no flattering words of these, but identifies them as those who ...do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly... Such people are to be noted and avoided (v 17). Those are pretty serious words.... NOTE those who cause division and AVOID them, Why? because as we today say,,, they love to hear themselves talk, they love the attention on themselves, they are serving their own ego and NOT seeking the truth.... It takes two to argue so remember the next time if you have stated clearly the truth and someone refuses to yield to the truth,,, move on and stop the conversation... It is kind of hard for one person to continue their argument alone :) If you ask a bible question and are given a bible answer with references, Please do not continue to argue Your Point Of View, OR Your Opinion . Our opinions mean nothing UNLESS they are based on and grounded in the word of God. Context of scriptures must Always be studied and used when answering bible questions. We can not just pick a random verse or passage and say well this applies to this situation when the passage or verse is clearly not talking to us today except as a lesson to be learned as are the Old Testament books. They are our schoolmaster. We have Matthew through Revelation as our guide for Christians today. We have Jesus words showing His way to salvation. We have Jesus dying for our salvation. We have Jesus church being established in Acts 2 with His words that He taught. We need to stick to the word of God , study and share it and avoid all arguing just for arguments sake :) or to have the last word in a discussion :)
