Nature of the Preliminary Question paper of S.T.I. Name of the Examination: General Mental Ability Topic No. of Questions 1) Arithmetic 20 2) Indian and World Geography 20 3) General Sciences 20 4) Modern Indian History 20 5) Social Reformers of Maharashtra 20 6) Civics and Economics 25 7) Current Events 25 Total Questions 150 Prelim exam consists of 150 Questions for 300 Marks; negative marking is same as Rajyaseva i.e. 1/4 Nature of the Main Examination of S.T.I. :There would be two papers consist of three subjects the details are as follows:Paper 1: Total 200 marksMarathi language 130 marksEnglish language 70 marksPaper II: Total 200 marks Sr. No. Particulars Marks 1 Current events 30 Marks 2 Intelligence Test 40 Marks 3 Maharashtra Geography 30 Marks 4 Planning 15 Marks 5 Infrastructure development in Rural and urban 10 Marks 6 Economic Reforms 10 Marks 7 International Trade and International Capital Movement 15 Marks 8 Public Finance 25 Marks 9 Computer and Information Technology 25 Marks Total 200 Marks There is a slight change in the main examination of STI and ASST. Age limit and educational Eligibility conditions are different than S.T.I. or Asst. examination, i.e. candidate should be between 19 to 28 years old i.e. Max. Age limit for PSI is 28.yrs complete and graduate of any discipline. One can also appear for the Prelim exam even while doing the last year of graduation course. But it is necessary to have received a degree before the Main exam.
