Nature of the Preliminary Question paper of S.T.I. Age limit and educational Eligibility conditions are different than S.T.I. or Asst. examination, i.e. candidate should be between 19 to 28 years old i.e. Max. Age limit for PSI is 28.yrs complete and graduate of any discipline. One can also appear for the Prelim exam even while doing the last year of graduation course. But it is necessary to have received a degree before the Main exam.
