Someone by the name Ahmed Olawale reacted to my recent post & asked me to place Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja in the context of good leadership. He claimed to be in the caucus of Senator Ladoja in the past & seem to know much about the partys structure. He does not seem to see anything good in Senator Ladoja & he sees me as one of the ardent followers of the Ashipa Olubadan of Ibadan land. I have this much to tell him why Senator Ladoja is a good leader among those that are aspiring to be the governor of Oyo State. What is leadership all about? How does Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja fit in the context of good leadership? Leadership is solving problems. The day your followers stop bringing their problems is the day you have stopped leading them. They have either lost confidence that you can help or concluded you do not care. This is not the case of Senator Ladja. He is a problem solver & the members of the party feel he is the one capable of bringing Oyo State out of the woods. Secondly, Senator Ladoja is a yardstick of quality & standard. This is evident during his reign as the governor of Oyo State. Thirdly, leadership is not about making speeches or being liked. Leadership is defined by results not attributes. Senator Ladoja fits perfectly in this description. Fourthly, you can only call yourself a leader when your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more & become more. Senator Ladoja is an inspiration to majority of his followers. This is evident in the banners & posters made by aspirants in his party with his photograph inserted on them. Senator Ladoja is the reason why the few state honourables & federal honourables were elected in 2011. Senator Ladoja paid for the INEC forms of most of the contestants in 2011. He is the reason why they are still aspiring to become much better than they were in 2011. Fifthly, you are a leader when you know the way, go the way & show the way. Senator Ladoja did this in 2011, made a relatively unknown Accord party what it is today, made inexperience politicians/aspirants in 2011 to be what they are today. Sixthly, when you are able to build a house with the bricks others have thrown @ you, you are a good leader. Senator Ladoja having sensed that he was going to be denied the ticket to contest under the platform of PDP due to the gang up of Alao Akala & others in the party in addition to the series of insults hurled @ him moved swiftly to build Accord Party in Oyo State. Seventhly, When you are able to translate your vision into reality, you are a good leader. The vision of Senator Ladoja for Accord Party in Oyo State is what we are all witnessing today. Everyone wants to be part of it. Eightly, A good leader takes his people from where they are to where they have never been. Hon Ajaja, Hon Olayemi, Hon Olaifa, Hon Akoro among others are perfect examples of Senator Ladoja human transformation. Ninthly, when you make problems so interesting & solution to every problem so constructive that everyone wants to get to work & deal with them, then you can be called a leader. This is Senator Ladoja for you. The tasks of taking over the government of Oyo State is made so easy by him that party executives & members despite not receiving anything tangible as remuneration are poised to turn the table around in Oyo State come 2015 based on the template formulated by Senator Ladoja. Finally, your ability to unlock other peoples potentials to become better make you a great leader. You can never make a great leader if you believe in doing things all by yourself or get all the credit for doing things. Senator Adewolu Ladoja is a team player. I sincerely hope I have satisfied the questions & critics of Ahmed Olawale of Senator Ladoja. He is right & the right man for the job. Support Senator Ladoja, vote for Accord Party, Endorse Opeyemi as a candidate for Federal Rep in IBSW/IBNW constituency. Te soju e on point.
