Sometimes, some city folk just amaze me. I posted a comment on a story about a WaPo journalist making rude comments about southerners. The ensuing exchange is a prime example... Me: Nearly all of the journalists and celebrities look down their noses at non-city dwellers. I think we, stupid & unsophisticated rural Americans should cut off their food supply for a month and see if they have a change of heart! .. Mad Jack Jericho: LOL! Like you could afford to live without our money for a month!! Most of you are already on welfare to begin with. .. Me: Yeah, the food growers would probable starve without city dwellers eating our food. .. Mad Jack Jericho: Like I said, well just cut off your welfare. .. Me: I mistook your first comment as possible sarcasm, but your second comment proved me wrong ... youre just another self-important city dweller. Too bad. .. Mad Jack Jericho: Too bad? an its actually pretty great living in the cultural epicenter of the world. .. Jim Ellis: Well, Im happy for you, but it doesnt change the fact that our sophisticated city brothers & sisters would starve rather quickly without their dumb country cousins and that should command a little respect at least 3 times a day. ..
