Sometimes, you just have to celebrate anniversaries of ownership.. those special times when we look back and recall the trials and tribulations of one dogs journey, one dogs sadness and abandonment which turned around that very day they walked out of our lives, and into a new home, surrounded by love, going where a fierce determination exists to mend the broken, to right the wrong.. We despaired at the condition of Willow when we got her, she was emaciated, her coat was stark and orange, she could barely eat anything, as her tummy was shrunken and couldnt handle much at all, so Bianca had to give her several small meals a day..Willow had not been cared for well at all, and it ripped our hearts out to see this skinny shell of a dog.. but one thing that was never broken was her spirit.. she wagged and she smiled, she trusted and she loved.. so we knew we had half the battle won... Then, we received an application for her.. and so began the rest of this beautiful girls life... Received this today... Hi Heather, I have been in my home now for one full year. Time for an update. My fur is a beautiful tan, and so shiny, occasionally I have to have a wash, I get to play ball every day, tennis balls are plentiful here. They must grow on those trees I see every day.My food is still a bit boring but at least I dont get tummy upsets anymore. I love Charlie and Woody, and I am getting used to Ollie, but why did you let them adopt Milly, she is so annoying. I love being here, thank you so much for letting me teach them to get up at the crack of dawn, get paw prints all over their nice clothes and best of all love me unconditionally...love Willow (First photo, laying down is Willow looking resplendent, and the other is when we got her in.. )
