Soooo Just had a talk with my immediate supervisor, a guy who I consider a friend, and i got the true story. I swear, i couldnt make this up. I just turned in a 30-page outline on a case that obviously, I can say nothing about. I filed it in the system at 9:30 PM last night. On my own time extra time. Im not here for the money. This means much more than that to me. This is my reputation. I spent like 2 weeks on this outline. Now listen, this is NOT ME saying this. but apparently, it was TOO GOOD . Yes, you heard right. It made a select few of my coworkers and one or two superiors feel uncomfortable. This was EXACTLY how it was put to me. It was quoted to me that it was some of the best work they had ever seen from our group. It made them feel like they havent really been doing shyt, for YEARS. As a result, I have been kicked in the ass by coworkers all day. One told me that I shouldnt be taking materials home to read so that I can educate myself on the cases, as I could cause a security breach. One of the weighty superiors actually sent me an email saying that these notes dont have to be perfect. That last comment almost made me want to quit. Snarky attitudes ALL day. My friend supercvisor keeps telling me that Im such an intense person, that Im intimidating people. Even though its clear that all I want to do is do a good job. When I was in college, my brotherhood nicknamed me, relentless. But its totally unintentional.
