Soul shower Gratitude of the week as inspired by Moose James Gronholm Okay, gotta make this short cause I gotta get to work. For starters, I am grateful that I gotta get to work! I am also grateful for a great weekend with my wife and son. Went to see the holiday trains and some other stuff at UT, then had dinner at my in laws, then went home to a wonderful evening just me an my honey after The Boy went to bed. On a sad note, my Aunt Karen has passed. She had been sick with a variety of illness, mostly a brain tumor, for a while now. I am grateful that her battle... her pain... is over. My heart goes out to my cousins, Jamon L Ritchie and Jason Ritchie... especially Jason, who was there for her every step of the way, and did the best he could to take care of her. Also, my Aunt Cathy Shivener, who has taken them both on over the past few months and went above and beyond to make her final days as comfortable as possible. Rest in peace Aunt Karen. I love you. All of these soul showers have really put me in a mindset to appreciate the sentiment of Thanksgiving. Im looking forward to Thursday for more than just good food... think Im going to actually take time this year before eating, to appreciate the great things in my life.... that could take a while! :)
