Spider’s Flight My Fear is strapped to my Hope. Higher than my dreams can take me on any dreamy night, I set my course for a Spider’s flight. Safety’s illusions remain on the ground, where my youthful dreams are lost and found. Have you seen way up there, beyond the casual stare, in a tiny strand, floating down, the Spider’s rope (and hope) to survival? Instinctively the Spider knows. She spins her balloon and off she goes, but I am not gifted with such an attitude of elevation. Zipping up my suit, tied to my fear with a parachute, I balance my anxiety with growing anticipation. If I can’t, I can’t. No one would blame. “It’s insane to jump from an airplane!” But if I close my eyes to faithless Fright, I can free my soul in a Spider’s Flight.
