StMUSoftball adds TAPPS State Champion Katelyn Corley SAN ANTONIO — St. Marys Softball has announced the addition of Katelyn Corley of Antonian College Preparatory High School who signed with the Rattlers during early signing period. Corley will join the Rattlers starting in the 2016 season upon her graduation from Antonian College Preparatory High School in San Antonio as a pitcher and utility player, coming in already gaining tremendous success in her first three years of high school play. In her three seasons, Corley has earned First Team All-District and First Team All-State every season and reached the pinnacle as a freshman, winning the TAPPS State Championship with her team. Says Fields, Katelyn will bring championship experience to our pitching staff, having won State as a freshman and competed for the title again her junior year. Also look for Katelyn to hit for herself when she pitches. She has had success on both sides of the ball. Corleys championship freshman season also brought her a First Team All-Area Pitcher selection and a San Antonio Express-News All-Area selection. She was selected TAPPS All-Tournament Team in her state championship berth and was selected Team for Sub 4A/Private Schools. As a junior, Corley again competed for the State Championship, becoming a runner-up and again was named TAPPS All-Tournament Team. That same season, she was also named Academic All-State and became a member of the National Honor Society. As she competes in her final season at Antonian in 2015, Corley will only be adding further to her preparation to join the Rattlers in 2016.
