Staffs County Senior League Round Up Saturday 07.09.13 League Challenge Cup Rnd A hat trick in the first half from Josh Gregory put Hilton ahead at home into the break against Leek. Richard Martin pulled a goal back in the second half with a forth for Hilton coming through Anthony Morris to seal their place in the next round. Leek Cup Rnd 1 Visitors Whittington were ahead at the break at Betley thanks to a first half goal from D Allsopp. R Everton- Doyle added a second in the second half with |S Williams making it three nil before Betley pulled back two with a goal each from Matt Bayliss & Wayne Watson. Cheadle Town go into the next round at the expense of Hawkins with a hat trick from Matthew Woodward along with a single from Rory Bradbury. Jack Bevan scored a consolation for Hawkins. Holditch scored three at home to Uttoxeter; one each from Marvin Johnson, Adam Bridgewood & Simon Brewster. Uttoxeter replied with two apiece from James Critchley & Tom Avery along with a goal each from Evan Richardson & Matt Wain to take their place in the next round. Hilton took a place in the next round at the expense of Leek CSOB with Sean Wesslelinghe scoring two and a single coming from Josh Tune with a Zak Barker scoring a consolation for Leek. Longton AG scored ten at home to Tunstall Town to go into the next round; Dave Otley scored four, Matt Cockfield two along with singles from Simon Barker, Nick McGraw& Nick Brown an OG made up the tally and Nathan Warburton & James Amos replied with a goal apiece from Tunstall. Visitors Milton put Stone OA out of the competition with a Gareth Birks hat trick and a single from Adam Robson. Kieron Wall and Matt Thomas replied with a goal each for Stone. Premier Josh Hadley opened for Alsager at home to Newcastle with a 20yd strike in the first half. Danny Bates added a second on the hour followed on 70 min by Tom Storey. Lewis Seymour pulled two back making the last 10min tense. A goal each from Martin Baker & Andy Bloore in the first half for Ball Haye Green went without reply from visitors Abbey Hulton. Cheadle failed to score at home to Kidsgrove and conceded four; a hat trick came from Tom Wakefield along with a single from Nick Woods. After a goal less first half Sean Hancock opened on 57 min for visitors Hanley at Norton, John Hughes equalised on 71min from the spot before adding the winner on 80min for Norton. Karl Espley scored the only goal of the game in the last minute for visitors Florence at Redgate. Visitors Audley opened at Wolstanton in the first half through Matt Barlow before Liam Shaw equalised, Shane Williamson scored the winner for the visitors in the last minute. Division 1 O’Brien scored two first half goals for Bradwell against Hall Heath before they pulled a goal back through Sedgwick. Harrison added a third for Bradwell to secure the points. Abbey Hulton opened at home to Sandbach on 12 min through Richard Simcock, James Harrison added a second on 25min before Simcock completed his hat trick with goals on 39 & 60min. Ashley Wilson signed off for Abbey on 76min. Visitors Betley opened at Brereton Social on 14 min through Anthony Oliver. Rhys Baker equalised on 17min with Reiss Baker adding a second on 43min. John – Rob Dutton made it 3 – 1 on 70 min. Congleton Athletic took the points at home to Cheadle SMU scoring six; two from Aaron Cooke along with singles from Lee Tawn, Tom Wilson, Jordan Belfield & Mark Mellor. Mitchell Finney & Stuart Hannah replied with a goal each. After a goal less first half Jordan Aitkin opened on 58 min for Foley at home to Ashbourne with a second coming without reply on 65 min from Marco Buckley. Visitors Knypersley scored seven at Norton; a hat trick from Shaun Mountford along with two each from Tom Madden & Craig Caddy with four in reply; two from Ashley Thompson and singles from Chris Nellis & Steve Armstrong. Silverdale scored six at home to Redgate; two from Alex Djukic along with singles from Peter Kyriacou, Alex Robson, Paul Lovatt & Jarrod Batkin with an Andrew Shingler goal in reply. Scott Bew opened for visitors Milton at Stapenhill in the first half. Josh Harris equalise don the hour before scoring the winner on 88 min. Division 2 Featherstone came back from 2 – 1 down at the break against Longton to win 4 – 2. Jack Barratt & Dan Keane scored a goal each for Longton with a Benjamin O’Meara scoring a hat trick and a single from Craig Sudlow replying for Featherstone.
