State of the sugar industry: A few importers are laughing all the way to the bank at the expense of the six million citizens that depend directly on the industry. They (importers) are packaging their imports in local factory wrappers and distributing all over the country. Factory warehouses are full, and despite ex-factory prices of 75/= a kilo, there are virtually zero sales.
