Statement following meeting of Leisureland Board - Friday, 9 May, 2014. The Board of Leisureland held a meeting this Friday afternoon. The Members of the Board received and considered a detailed report from the management to the progress on the renovation of the facility. There was criticism from the Board as regards the advancement of the essential works. The board was advised that every effort is being made to deliver the facility back to public use as a matter of urgency. The project is complex with the significant damage caused by the flooding and the requirements of developing the claim for insurance cover. The Board Members were unanimous in directing that Leisureland be available and reopened by the first week of October.
