Statement to all returning and prospective CPUT Mowbray Campus students. The Student Representative Council of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology Mowbray Campus would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous new year. We hope that you have used this vacation period to rest and regroup for the upcoming academic year. Furthermore we also take on this opportunity to congratulate all those who have completed their degrees in 2013, through hard work and perseverance you have shown that “it always seems impossible until it’s done”. We also congratulate all those who performed well in the November final examinations. To those who did not perform well in their exams, let this be an opportunity for you to improve on your efforts and let this not de-motivate you in advancing the academic project and achieving academic excellence. This communiqué also serves to inform all returning and prospective students that have the following problems to report to the SRC office to write down their details: Students who have signed loan agreement but NFSFAS did not pay out their fees. Students who have been affected by late by late billing from housing department i.e. NSFAS did not pay for their residential accommodation. Students who have historically been beneficiaries of NSFAS but last year were declined on the basis that they did not meet minimum requirements. Students who have queries about their academic status i.e. academic exclusions, failed modules with intent of appealing.
