Stenographer Grade-II Jobs in Guwahati High Court Assam Stenographer Grade-II Jobs in Guwahati High Court Assam : The High Court is a Constitutional Court in terms of Article 215.It is a Court of record and has all the powers of such Court including the power to punish for Contempt of itself and for Contempt of Courts Subordinate to it.Every High Court consist of a Chief Justice and such other Judges as the President of India from time to time deem it necessary.At present, the sanctioned Judge strength of the Gauhati High Court is 24 including the Hon’ble Chief Justice and 5 Additional Judges.Every Judge including the Chief Justice is appointed by the President of India by warrant under his hand and seal.Every permanent Judge continues in office until he attains the age of 62 years.The Additional Judges are appointed for a period not exceeding two years taking into account the temporary increase in the business or arrears of work of the High Court.Such Judges shall also not hold office after attaining the age of 62 years.Applications are invited from Indian Citizens to fill up the following posts in Guwahati High Court. Name of the post : Stenographer Grade-II No of Vacancy : 05. Age : Candidate should not be less than 18 years of age and not be less 38 years of age as on 15-09-2014. Qualifications : Candidates should possess Graduation of a recognized University along with Diploma in Stenography in English with minimum speed of 100 wpm and 40 wpm on computer. Due weight-age will be given to a Law Graduate. Selection Process : Candidates may be selected based on Short hand Speed/ Computer typing test and Viva Voce test etc. Last Date : 15-09-2014. How to Apply : Eligible candidates may submit their applications with two (2) copies of recent passport size photographs, Proficiency certificate in Short hand and Basic computer knowledge should reach the office on or before 15-09-2014.No relevant document is required to be enclosed at the time of submission of application.Eligible candidates should keep ready and produce all original document at the time of Viva voce test.
