Sticking with the 70’s today and starting off the morning with some Doobie Brothers. In 1974 The Doobie Brothers released their fourth studio album, What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits. The first single from the album, “Another Park, Another Sunday, did moderately well and peaked at #32 on the charts and the second single didn’t fare so well. Really wanting some positive chart action, Warner Brothers re-released the band’s first single, “Nobody”. The re-release was quickly overshadowed when radio stations discovered “Black Water” and began playing it instead. Several stations joined in spinning the song and it was officially released as a single that went on to sell over a million copies and become the Doobie Brothers first #1 hit. Have a great day!!!
