Still making progress on the normal seasonal work on the fawn pen prior to putting babies out. With Kellys help, the bottle rack has been scrubbed with bleach, a large patch was put up over a torn out area of shade cloth in the garden side of the baby pen, and all the old tarp was pulled down (and the metal supports were repaired) from the roof covering part of the baby pen. My wonderful sister, who is staying with me, made a run to TSC for supplies so we can hopefully finish the baby pen work tomorrow. Took in a fawn earlier today with another fawn in VERY bad condition scheduled to arrive later tonight (thanks to Rebekah Field who is helping with transport.) Also took in a very confused baby duck....hes a Pekin but was hatched by a Mallard and isnt being accepted by either species......very sad, but hes come to the right place if hes got identity issues!! In other words, its pretty much a normal crazy Monday! :-)
