Strategic Review, Tasmania Regional Arts – Written Submissions In response to recent funding decisions, TRA has commissioned Professor Peter Matthews to review its artistic and strategic direction and make recommendations for organisational renewal. Written submissions are welcomed and, while authors’ may canvass any matters they deem to be of importance to this process, topics of particular interest are: • TRA’s contribution (past and potential) to regional arts development • TRA’s artistic vibrancy – such as community relevance, curiosity, quality, adventure, audience appeal, and contribution to art-form development • Organisational matters such as governance, branches, membership, and staffing • TRA’s relationships with the broader arts community (individual artists and organisations) and related sectors such as education and regional development CONFIDENTIALITY To encourage open and honest exchanges all written submissions are treated as confidential. In preparing reports the consultant may use quotes that do not name or identify the author. If a source is to be named, specific written approval will be sought prior to publication. Submission length is a the discretion of authors, but Martin Luther wisely observed: If I had my time to go over again, I would make my sermons much shorter, for I am conscious they have been too wordy.
