Street performance in Lyon... ILLEGAL! Most french policeman, like the vast majority of the Brussels policeforce are just so retarded and aggressive... Are we still allowed to our freedom of expression nowadays? It appears that more and more European towns and making street music illegal - with the police fining us and treating us like criminals for simply playing music... Street entertainment is an old standing tradition; but with the combination of ever changing legislation, overly complicated administrative procedures, incompetent administrative services and aggressive policeman - street performing in many European towns is becoming a true challenge... and I am quite sceptical on the future of street performing in Europe... Looking forward to checking Amsterdam for busking, a city with the reputation of being very open minded and liberal... fingers crossed, lets stay optimistic... :-s
