Student Services Coordinator/DSO (FT) - Kaplan International (SoHo) compensation: To be determined with final candidate Kaplan International is looking for someone to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the student experience and be able to provide exceptional customer service. This role is a great fit for someone who has interest in working with international students and can do so in a positive upbeat manner. Position Summary The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for providing guidance and support to our international students throughout their time at KIC. The Student Services Coordinator will be held accountable for all non-academic elements of our students experiences including accommodation recruitment, immigration counseling, student activities and tight coordination with the Customer Service team to ensure fast and accurate service to our students and agents. Key Job Responsibilities •Advise new and current students on KIC courses and products; collect lead information and participate in conversion efforts •Deliver outstanding hands-on student service •Serve as Designated School Official (DSO); responsible for updating SEVIS and advising students on all matters related to their immigration status while studying at KIC •Assist in keeping the school compliant with state, national, and organizational standards •Assist with administration of accommodation services •Schedule and oversee the airport greeter service •Manage the activities program to ensure there is a robust activity calendar and good participation level; manage budget and ensure good revenue generation from activities •Assist with payment processing and database maintenance •Cash handling and reporting •Ensure immediate and timely response to emergency issues, including after-hours calls •Liaise with national operations team and Customer Service offices world-wide to ensure alignment with national standards Minimum Qualifications •Bachelors Degree or equivalent •US Citizen or Landed Permanent Resident (mandatory for DSO) -2+ years in a business or operational setting •Ability to work evenings and weekends •A commitment to providing excellent service •Attention to detail •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills •Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills •Tact, patience and diplomacy, particularly with non-native English speaking •High energy level and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment •Ability to deliver on detail-oriented processes Preferred Qualifications •Prior experience with international students and/or advising and database systems strongly preferred •One or more foreign languages a plus To apply for this job please click on the link below: https://sjobs.brassring/1033/asp/tg/cim_jobdetail.asp?partnerid=375&siteid=138&areq=26382BR&codes=CL
