Subject: Geocashing in the City Parks! Guys I am super excited - I think this will be a really fun event. Its a lot to take in so just call me if you have any questions, 321-6822. Who: Everyone, Anyone! This event is for All Ability Levels and you can bring a friend, etc. feel free to spread the word and forward this email. Ill send out something a couple of days before to try and get an approximate head count. What: Growing Healthy Communities Worksite Wellness Corporate Challenge First Event! An Introduction to the Idea of Geocashing, a fun activity to get people out doors and exploring their environment. Please read the attachments to find out even more specifics. We will be providing some trinkets to trade out for the purposes of this intro so you dont have to worry about bringing any but if you want to bring some small items like pens, pins, etc. you can feel free to as well. Also SWAG (Southwest Arkansas Geocashers) are helping to sponsor this event. SWAG has supported the city Parks and Rec Department in the past for various events such as mulching! They will be bringing GPS devices for us to use that day. So you dont have to worry about that either but if you want to have one for yourself to use then or later there are free apps available on most smart phones and the SWAG members recommend the $10.00 app as well which has more functionality and they can show you the difference that day as well. Well only be in Entergy Park for this event but afterwards well hand out a listing of other Caches in other City Parks. When: Saturday January 25 from 10 am to noon Where: Meet at the parking lot by the flag pole in Entergy Park. More: We plan to divide into groups that morning and split up between the four main trails. There is a main permanent cache on each of these trails but we will have also set out four or five temporary cashes for the groups to find. The trails range from half mile to three/fourths of a mile and some are paved and some are not. Well consider levels of difficulty when we divide into our groups. When you are out on your own Geocaching they are labeled 1-5 in order of difficulty and terrain with a 1 being easy and accessible by most and a 5 being a potential steep incline or more difficult to find, etc. Well meet back at 11:00 and do our first drawing for Door Prizes and take a group picture. Then well redistribute back into different groups if people want to go on a different trail the second time out. After that second round well meet back up at 11:45-12:00 do one final Door Prize Drawing, some announcements, and make sure everyone has signed the clip board for their Team Points and disband!
