Subject: Sick Daddy vs. Hyper Mommy. Chris has a cold. A cold from the 5th circle of hell, to be exact. He has no voice, and feels icky. But it is his year to take Sam out Trick-or-Treating. Chris works long hours, and Sam doesnt see him as much as he used to, since the last job change. Most days, I hear I need Daddy, a few dozen times a day. So, come hell or high water, Chris was taking the boy out!! And he did! 7 houses later, they were home. Sam had a few suckers, a couple of packs of M&Ms and thought the night was done. Nope. No, no and no! Halloween wasnt a 15 minute wander. It is supposed to be running from house to house with packs of kids dressed up as other things! So, we had a rest, a few pieces of candy, and I took him back out. I got him excited. We ran, we found a pack of kids, we pet dogs in costumes, and we hit the Good houses. He got several full-size candy packs (M&Ms, Skittles, and a hershey bar) Only two people recognized his costume as Link from Zelda. They were programmers, too. We stayed out almost an hour and tackled the condos across the street from out apartments. At the end, I had to carry him, because he was tired and his bucket was too heavy. AND THAT IS HALLOWEEN!!!! Side-note, we bought a bunch of bags of candy, and didnt get a single trick-or-treater. What am I to do with it all? :/
