Submitted to us by Tami Muftah: The Libyan people the world needs to meet; the kind Libyans. I am witness to this: I am speechless and cant describe how I feel in seeing the good people of Libya going out of their way in helping each other through the ongoing situation. Here in Tripoli and the surrounding areas, the people have opened their homes. They have given their farms, flats and houses to strangers to stay in because they had to leave their own homes due to the ongoing fighting in their areas. Also people are handing out bread, petrol and anything extra that they have like food and drinks and sweets for the children. Pharmacies are providing medicines free of charge for the ones who are suffering from chronic diseases. Restaurants and cafes are giving free meals. Money is being collected by trusted people to help buy the necessities that is needed for those who need it and the goodness is going on and on. The good people are not only helping out the Libyan people, they are also helping the foreigners who have decided to stay and not leave Libya. There are no words to further describe what I have seen, read and heard. This is where once again I say I am lucky to be a Libyan and proud to be one. May Allah (God) reward all those who have gone out of their way with their pure kindness without asking for nothing in return. This is the soft hearted people that I am always talking about. These are MY PEOPLE. THIS IS LIBYA This is my heart and soul. May Allah (God) keep them all safe and may he always protect them and us all.
